Recommended Crawford Performance Motor Break-In Procedures

Thank you for purchasing our product. Please be advised that your Crawford motor will live a stronger and healthy life by following these simple break-in procedures.

· Make sure you build oil pressure before you start the motor
· Break-in the motor for 1000miles/1600km using regular (non-synthetic) motor oil
· Run the motor with no boost during break-in
· Keep the revs below 4,000rpms for first 500miles. For the next 500 keep the revs below 5,000rpms
· Make sure you vehicle has a properly tuned break-in map
· We recommend running the AFRS between 14.1-14.7 during break in
· After break-in miles are achieved you may switch to a full synthetic oil

NOTICE
Federal and many state laws prohibit the removal, modification or rendering inoperative of any part or element of design affecting emissions or safety on motor vehicles used for transporting persons or property on a public street or highway. Violation may result in a fine of up to $27,500 per vehicle. Mechanical and/or electronic performance parts listed on this site cannot be used on vehicles used on public streets or highways.

These parts may be used only on vehicles used solely in sanctioned off-highway events. No other applications are intended or implied. Those parts that have been granted an exemption by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) or meet the EPA requirements of memorandum 1A are legal for highway use in California, New York and Massachusetts and are noted as such.

RETURN POLICY
Return for an exchange or refund will be allowed only within 10 calendar days from the date of the receipt and must be authorized by Crawford Performance., prior to return shipping. Contact our offices via telephone or e-mail to obtain an RMA# prior to returning any merchandise. This number MUST appear on the outside of all boxes returned. If the RMA# is not visible on the outside of the box it will be refused at the dock. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS! Any refused shipment sent back to Crawford Performance does not constitute the right to a refund or credit. It is the customer's responsibility to make all arrangements with Crawford Performance for the shipment prior to its return. All authorized returned merchandise must be unused and in its original salable packaging. No returns or exchanges on merchandise that shows signs of having been opened, installed, modified, mounted, scratched, or defaced. Returns must be sent freight prepaid and insured by the customer. A refund or exchange will not be considered until all relevant items, hardware, and accessories have been returned to Crawford Performance. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. All custom entry fees and duty charged to Crawford Performance. associated with any return or exchange will be charged to the customer. A photocopy of your invoice showing the invoice number must accompany your return along with a written explanation and a contact phone number where we may reach you. It is the responsibility of the customer/installer to verify the correctness of the size and application of the parts before installation.

NOTE: A 20% restocking fee will be assessed on all authorized returns, canceled orders (special or otherwise, shipped or unshipped) in addition to any original shipping fees. Any return credits or refunds are processed within 15 days of receiving the item at Crawford Performance. Please allow an additional 12-14 working days for credit card refunds to post to your account.

NO PARTS WARRANTY
Crawford Performance parts are sold "as is" unless otherwise noted. This means that parts sold by Crawford Performance carry no warranty whatsoever. Implied warranties, such as warranties of merchantability, are excluded. (An implied warranty of merchantability means that the part is reasonably fit for the general purpose for which is was sold). The entire risk as to quality and performance of such parts is with the buyer. Should such parts prove defective following their purchase, the buyer and not the manufacturer, distributor or retailer, assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repair. Subaru parts warranties are voided if the vehicle or parts are used for competition. The addition of performance parts does not by itself void a vehicle's warranty. However, added performance parts (parts not originally supplied on the vehicle from the factory) are not covered by the vehicle's warranty, and any failure that they may cause is also not covered by the vehicle's warranty. Please check with your local Subaru Dealership for further information.

TUNING POLICY
Crawford Performance offers Engine Tuning services, along with installation of engine management devices. Custom Engine Tuning is not likely to be permissible on emissions controlled vehicles. Therefore, Customer promises that vehicles brought to Crawford Performance for Engine Tuning are not for use on public roads.

Results are not guaranteed for Tuning. Any horsepower estimates are believed to be accurate based on the best information available at the time estimates are made. Crawford Performanceprides itself on providing accurate information without hype or exaggeration. However, Crawford Performance is not responsible for the actual power output of the vehicles equipped with Crawford Performance products or tuning devices, including where such are tuned by Crawford Performance.

Furthermore, the Tuning of electronic devices is a highly sensitive science. Crawford Performance cannot be responsible for the Customer's actions regarding fuel quality, maintanence, driving use or abuse, or other such factors. Therefore, Crawford Performance is not responsible for the direct or consequential damages to the Customer's car or engine once the Customer leaves the Crawford Performance facility.

CRAWFORD PERFORMANCE CRATE ENGINE 60-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY
Crawford Performance Crate Engine Assemblies are designed for off-road use only. Such motors not used in any fashion are warranted for "parts only", AS DELIVERED against defects in materials or workmanship for 60 days from the date of purchase. The following parts, if defective, will be replaced on an exchange basis for 60 days: cylinder blocks and all internal parts; cylinder head assemblies; intake manifold; oil pan; timing gears; water pump; gaskets and seals.

EMISSIONS STATEMENT
Federal law requires emissions parts on new vehicles to be warranted for at least two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. Federal and many state laws also prohibit the removal, modification or rendering inoperative any part that affects emissions of safety on motor vehicles used on public streets or highways. Many Crawford Performance parts are designated for track use or off-road use only. Installation of certain components may bring the vehicle out of compliance with safety and/or emissions standards. Crawford Performance recommends that vehicles with parts designated in this fashion not be operated on public roads. Crawford Performance customers are responsible for complying with applicable state and local environmental regulations. Additionally, certain performance parts may affect the emissions characteristics of the vehicle. If you install them on the vehicle, and your vehicle consequently fails a required state or local I/M (inspection and maintenance) emissions test, including any test required for maintain or renew your vehicle's registration, or if your vehicle is subject to an emissions recall, Subaru may not be required to repair your vehicle under the emissions performance warranty, and you may be required to remove those parts at your own expense in order to obtain repairs necessary to pass the I/M test or to perform the recall.

NOTE: CALIFORNIA ONLY
The emissions laws and regulations of the state of California apply to all non-racing vehicles operated in California. Consequently, those parts identified on the Crawford Performance website and appropriately marked on their packaging may legally be used in California only on a racing vehicle that will never be operated on public roads.

PARTS ORDERING AND INQUIRIES
The parts on Crawford Performance website may be ordered from dealerships or the speed shops carrying the Crawford Performance line of products. When a part ordered has been superseded, the replacing part will be shipped automatically. The price of the replacing part may differ from the ordered part.

All Crawford Performance Air/Oil Separators are sold with a One Year Satisfaction Guarantee.
If for any reason the customer is unhappy with their Air/Oil Separator, they have the option to return the product for a refund of the purchase price or credit toward another part within one year of the purchase date*.

      * ALL RETURNS are subject to a 20% restocking fee, unless credit is taken  
         towards another Crawford part. 
      * Shipping/freight costs are exempt from the guarantee. 
      * The customer MUST have the original receipt/invoice form either Crawford  
         Performance, or the Authorized Crawford Performance dealer in which the product  
         was purchased. 
      * Air/Oil Separators purchased from a source OTHER than Crawford Performance,  
         or an Authorized Crawford Performance dealer, do not qualify for the guarantee. 

If a customer would like to return their Air/Oil Separator they must do the following:

      1.	Contact Crawford Performance via email or phone to obtain an RA number. 
                 a. 760-631-2927 
                 b. sales 'at' crawfordperformance.com 
      2.	Package up the Air/Oil Separator and ALL the supporting parts. Any parts missing will be deducted from the pending refund. 
      3.	Clearly mark the RA number on the box and ship back to Crawford Performance. 

Upon receipt of the Air/Oil Separator, Crawford Performance will process a credit for the purchase price (shipping costs not included), less the 20% restocking fee. A credit memo will be issued and sent to the customer at the time of the transaction.

       The customer has the choice to take a refund or credit towards another Crawford  
      Performance product.  If credit towards another product is chosen, the 20% restocking  
      fee will be waived.
